The checked central instructions include degree documentation and authentication, transcripts, a statement and recommendations. The actual current checklist should control your final file. Do not assume that documents prepared for another country's application system automatically match PKU's formats.

Keep pending items visible. A degree yet to be awarded, a missing translation or a recommendation still in progress should remain an open task. For each item, record the official requirement, the person responsible and the expected completion date. Resolve uncertainty about acceptance of provisional materials before relying on them.

Follow named programmes into their own routes

Compare the purpose of those degrees before comparing their application burden. A focused China Studies degree and a professional business degree answer different academic and career questions.
